Heute ist Stöpsel ein Jahr alt geworden!
Today's Stöpsel's first birthday!
Where did the year go...?? ;-)
7 Wochen
1 Jahr
As cute as Stöpsel has been as a puppy, as happy I am nowadays that he doesn't need to be locked behind bars anymore, that he no longer pees inside and (almost never) destroys thing. It's a lot easier to live and communicate with a grown dog... :-)
Being an owner of two dogs is a lot more complicated and laborious than I had anticipated. But how can you know before you've tried it? :-)
And I wouldn't change a thing!!! It's absolutely gorgeous to see the two play and wrestle, to observe how they interact and communicate with each other and how differently they deal with their environment. It's awesome to have two characters around - both with their strengths and weaknesses.
Once somebody said to me that the reason why Charlie is obeying so well is not my dog training skills, but simply his submissive and obedient nature. When Stöpsel was all wild at first, I started to worry that this may be true... But by now, I have learned that it's not true! Ha! ;-) Because living with dogs always means learning and adjusting things to the current circumstances. Dog training will never be done - also Charlie has changed a lot, and so he will in the future, too - it's a constant learning process, both for the dog as well as the owner. People change, circumstances change... frankly, that's life! And that's the fun of it! :-) And I have learned to be more patient, flexible and relaxed. So Stöpsel doesn't know the same tricks Charlie did at the same age? So what? He'll learn eventually! :-)
♥♥
I'm so happy to have those two around!!!!
